In the earlier blog, Simplifying Application Development, we saw how easy and quick it is to develop applications using Cordys Process Factory (CPF). Many readers posted questions asking how they can sell applications that they build using CPF. Customers said they also wanted to have a host of readymade applications, which they can use. Now, Cordys introduces the CPF Market Place where software vendors (ISV – Independent Software Vendors) can sell their CPF applications to other organizations and organizations looking for quick software solutions can view, buy, and use them in their organizations. All applications created using the CPF platform are automatically SaaS-enabled, sellers can fix the rates for the applications in terms of $X per user per year or per month, etc., and application buyers can pay and subscribe to those applications in the manner that best suits them.
1. Buying Applications from the Marketplace:
a. Buyer’s Process - Users who are looking to buy and use CPF applications that are available in the marketplace can follow the below process:
b. Looking for the right applications in the marketplace:

2. Selling Applications in the Marketplace:

a. Seller’s Process - Users who are looking to sell their CPF applications in the marketplace can follow the below process:

b. Make your application available in the marketplace:
In CPF, a new page (shown below) is introduced. Once an application vendor builds the application and wants to make it available in the marketplace, he or she fills this form and submits the request to the Marketplace Administrator who verifies the application and makes it available in the marketplace along with the user documentation and screenshots that the vendor has specified.

3. Applications that can be Built and Made Available for Customer Organizations:
For software vendors looking forward to build and sell applications using CPF, the applications listed in the marketplace give ideas about the kinds of applications that you can develop. If you are looking to reach a large number of customers, then back-office applications would be a good start too as they are common requirements in most organizations.
| HR Applications |
Recruitment Management, Employee On-boarding, Performance Management, Compensation Management, Employee Skill Management, Goal Management, Succession Planning, Career Planning, Employee Off-boarding, etc. |
| Learning Management Systems |
Class Scheduling, Catalog Management, Assessment Management, etc |
| Administration Applications |
Leave Management, Library Management, Weekly Timesheet, Asset Management, Meeting Room Booking System, Vendor Management, Vendor Quote Management, Vendor Payment Management, AMC Management, Office Administration, Operative Expenses Budget Management and Tracker, Petty Cash Management, Employee Travel Management, Foreign Exchange Management, Vehicle Management, Taxi Usage Management, Stationary Management, Contract Management, Office Couriers Management, etc.) |
| Finance Applications |
Payroll Systems, etc. |
When more and more applications become available, software buyers can run their entire office in the cloud.
If you have experience in building industry vertical solutions for Oil industries, Health, Manufacturing, Customer Relationship, etc, they can also be developed quickly and sold on the CPF platform.
Conclusion:
It is a win-win situation for both software buyers and software sellers (vendors). It enables buyers to become productive very quickly by being able to get the applications that they want as and when they want it and at lesser cost while application vendors can build and sell applications to a global audience without having to spend huge amounts on marketing and advertising.

Its pretty good that cordys is providing a Centralized market place where sellers can sell their products developed by using CPF as platform. The way you explain is very straight forward, simple and easy to understand by common man.It would be better if you explain the contract between seller and buyer, and how they will be benefited by using these application development and usage in terms of capital. And how the seller will maintain the application to serve better to the buyers.
