What is MashApps '10?
MashApps '10 is a competition sponsored by Cordys Process Factory that will provide exciting prizes for the best business Mashup Application built with MashApps® Composer, an On Demand application development platform.
Why is Cordys Process Factory launching MashApps '10?
The aim of the competition is to develop new, innovative, practical Mashup applications (MashApps®) which can be used to improve day-to-day business operations. We believe that a thriving developer community will be an important part of creating a new generation of rich Web applications. We want to support and recognize talented students World-wide who build these great applications with the MashApps® Composer.
What kind of Mashup Applications are you looking for?
We are looking for innovative, useful applications build in our online modeling environment, called MashApps® Composer. Areas of interest are:
- Collaborative technologies such as email, calendar, Google Docs etc
- Integrations with third party applications via Web services.
- Use of Mashup technology
- Rethinking of traditional interfaces
What are the awards for the winners?
- The winner of MashApps '10 will receive the brand new Apple iPad.
- The runner-up of MashApps '10 will receive an Apple iPod Nano.
- The third person of the MashApps '10 contest will receive an iTunes Music Card worth 100$.
How will you evaluate my MashApps® for awards?
We’re looking forward to reward MashApps® that have the following characteristics:
- Technology: Ability to effectively use MashApps® Composer. Does the MashApps® take advantage of our unique features?
- Commercial Value: Extensiveness to which the MashApps® is commercially viable to implement. Is the MashApps® essential?
- Creativity: Is the MashApps® unique and the concept original?
- Usability: Is the MashApps® easy to use and appealing?
Who will decide on Awards?
A diverse group of professionals will be invited to be in the contest’s judging panel The jury will be composed of recognized industry professionals, experts from academia, and Cordys executives.
Can I submit more than one Mashup Application?
Yes, you may submit more then one MashApps®, but remember the winner is based on the best MashApps® and not on volume.
Will I continue to own my Mashup application after I submit it to MashApps '10?
MashApps® and all associated goodwill are and will remain the sole property of Cordys Process Factory. Any goodwill generated as a result of your licensed use of MashApps® Composer belongs exclusively to Cordys Process Factory and inures solely to the benefit of Cordys Process Factory.
What are the eligibility requirements?
- MashApps '10 is open for students and teams of students from universities and colleges that are enrolled in Cordys University Program.
